For many of us, the home is regarded as the only place we have the most control over in terms of our routines and lives. With this ability to determine the way we live, we must always keep in mind that every action we make has an effect on the planet. No matter where you live or what you live in, eco living is something you should be considering.
Some of the things that must be considered to be eco friendly range from lighting, heating, cooking, televisions and other appliances as these all use energy. There are so many choices for how you can carry out a positive impact on the environment; so you always have the advantage.
Many don't practice eco living as it 'inconveniences' them, but the conveniences of fast food and other greenhouse gas producing ways of living are much more of a burden to the environment than you. The irony of it is we are living on what we are destroying.
Instead it is better to make sure you are taking care of our planet ready for future generations. You can do this by practicing the 3 R's (reduce, reuse and recycle), by driving less and cycling/walking more, by buying energy efficient products, by putting all rubbish in the bin, by buying recycled products and by raising awareness. Little changes at home can make a big impact and even save you money in the long run.
